MPhil in Science and Technology Studies
The MPhil in Science and Technology Studies (STS) at CREST will introduce students to these different dimensions and aspects of science as a complex social system, with a focus on South Africa. Students can choose between two specialisations and a general programme option. The successful completion of the requirements of the chosen option will result in the MPhil in STS being awarded.
MA and PhD (By Research)
Research masters-level degrees require candidates to conceptualize and implement an original research project, under supervision, and to submit a thesis reporting on the work. The entry requirements for a research MA are an existing Honours-level qualification with strong academic performance therein. We also invite candidates interested in PhD level study in the broad area of science communication to contact us to explore opportunities.
