Imagine a world where critical issues like education and health receive the attention they deserve. Unfortunately, many non-profits struggle to effectively inform the public due to a lack of resources. This pilot project aims to explore successful media and communication strategies in South Africa and Kenya that can support civil society, with a specific focus on foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN).

Our goal is to produce a comprehensive report detailing our findings on FLN programmes and a handbook to assist non-profits in capturing public attention for important social justice causes. By understanding the dynamics of the attention economy, we can shift the focus to what truly matters and address governance failures in FLN.
