Professor Malebogo Ngoepe is associate professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Cape Town.
The convenors of Fic Sci 01 are happy and proud to announce that Professor Malebogo Ngoepe will be the inaugural scientist of the writer’s workshop.
Professor Ngoepe is a mechanical engineer that is interested in the role of mechanics in health and disease. Her work in biomechanics covers topics in blood clotting, children’s heart disease and curly hair. She is associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cape Town and is the director of the Centre for Research in Computational and Applied Mechanics.
The workshop takes place between 6-8 July 2022 where selected writers will write a response to Professor Ngoepe’s presentation. The writers are at liberty to write whatever they wish in their chosen format, which will form part of a publication that will emerge from the workshop.
