The convenors of Fic Sci 02 are happy and proud to announce that Dr Tana Joseph will be our scientist of the writer’s workshop.
She is an astronomer and researches binary star systems, transient radio wave emitting sources, and the Magellanic Clouds galaxies. She obtained her PhD in Physics from the University of Southampton and has been awarded both Fulbright and Royal Society fellowships in recognition of her research excellence. In 2018, she founded her own STEM communications and consulting company called AstroComms. She currently works as the Equity and Inclusion coordinator for astronomy in the Netherlands.
The workshop takes place between 11-14 July 2023 where selected writers will write a response to Dr Joseph’s presentation. The writers are at liberty to write whatever they wish in their chosen format, which will form part of a publication that will emerge from the workshop.
